well spotted dodge , think the only original parts left are wheels , tank , half the frame and the loom, engine is rf but the 2nd one I've put in it, first one ate 2nd gear , its changed since that pic as well , got a bandit 1200 subframe and seat unit on it now ( more for comfort than looks as old bones can barely hack the rgv 250 seat anymore) ,.
Apologies there dude , obvoiusly got the wrong end of the stick , you get up north or any runs on the SV?
No worries.
I get out quite a lot, mostly go to Fife or Perthshire, but not that far North. The Mrs won't go on it so I only go away for a few hours at a time, Fort Wiliam is about as far as I can easily go in a day.
Was down in Fort Bill in June , me and a dozen or so mates (well 6 fae Shetland , another 6 fae Ullapool and a couple o boys fae Fort Bill) took another mates ex fishing boat down from Shetland to the Isle o Man for tt week , went through the canal for a fun , damn good run (about 500mile by sea , each way) , she can sleep 16 so had a riot everywhere we stopped , seems to be turning into an annual foray , that's the third year in a row now . We take the bikes with us on the deck so we can have a blast around the circuit . Here's a link to the boats website ....... http://www.threesistersdiving.co.uk/index.html

Looks the biz in that guise, you'll have to take a more recent pic.
I grenaded my box a while ago, luckily I had a complete motor and box spare.
what bike was this motor in(Z1000?) , hope it didn't lock on you when it went pop , always a scary moment !!
Only a Zephyr 550.
Yeah locked up on my way to work, going round a roundabout, luckily I wasn't going too fast and as it was very early there was no following traffic. Slid sideways across three lanes and stopped just before the curb gave me a high sider. Even luckier I was just about to get on the M4, locking up at nearer a ton might not have been so fortunate.
