I am looking to buy a 3 Litre diesel Hilux and have seen a 1996 SSR-V model. What is the difference between this model and the SSR-X.

    maybe nothing, maybe loads.

    SSRG
    SSRV Ltd
    SSRV
    SSRX Ltd
    SSRX
    SSR Ltd
    SSR

Thats top spec down but it would appear that the Japanese are optional extra mad, you may find an SSRX with more on it than an SSRV depending on what extras they fit.
Say not always what you know, but always know what you say.

You might even find an SSRV with more on it than an SSRX. As Nigel said, the model spec often bears no relation to what is fitted on it.

You can on top spec ( or fully optional extra loaded) get Recaro Seats, rear spare, rear spoiler, twin heaters, twin batteries, 3 position adjustable rear seat recline, etc etc etc.

      Cheers

I thought the SSR-X was above the SSR-V?

I think my SSR-X LTD has pretty much everything, apart from the cold wintery bits...
            More Lift.
            More Tyres.
            More Engine.
