Torsion Bar adjustment?

Guys I will be getting my Kumho kL71's next week & im a bit worried about them catching on my arches (especially the mud flap bolts) as the new tyres are 265/75 r16.
I reckon if i adjust my stock torsion bars a little at the front I should be ok. Has anyone here done that? Or should I just grind the bolts?
I know t/bars have been discussed on old threads but not regarding a 3rd gen surf.

does a 3rd gen have arch extensions like a 2nd gen?

on a 2nd gen you just remove the extensions to stop the wheels from fouling
