                        The leading boat in the Rolex Fastnet race is Mike Slade's ICAP Leopard, the magnificent maxi is half way across the Irish Sea bound for the finish to Plymouth. But as predicted, high pressure is dominating the area and the mighty yacht is struggling to maintain speed. Some 32 miles behind, Karl Kwok's Farr 80, Beau Geste is still in good pressure reeling ICAP Leopard in.
                        It is a big if but ... at 1100 BST according to the RORC OC Tracker;
                        ICAP Leopard was 167 miles from the finish; the speed snap shot was 8.5 knots giving an ETA at Plymouth of just after 6 a.m. Wednesday.
                        Beau Geste was 195 miles from the finish; the speed snap shot was 12.7 knots giving an ETA at Plymouth of just after 2 a.m. Wednesday.
                        It is likely that Beau Geste will run out of breeze in a similar fashion to ICAP Leopard but if Karl Kwok's mini-maxi arrives with the breeze, a photo finish in Plymouth for line honours could be on the cards.
                        The scenario is unlikely but stranger things have happened in yacht races!

                        Posted on local newspaper site as some local muppet was complaining that the finishers today looked like dingies
