  • veg oil a new low

was in ASDAs yesterday and picked up 15 litres for a tenner. last week it was 15 litres for £14.50.
so i grabbed two boxes and filled her up. costco's / makro's and the like may be cheaper. except ive lost my card and regardless of how many calls i make or forms i fill out they never send me a new one.
    im not "bonafide" any longer!
    Oh Nana, what's my name?

Fresh oil - straight into the tank (making sure you do put some diesel in at a ratio....have a search and see what other people use).

Waste oil...that's the stuff you have to filter (and treat if you are going the whole bio-diesel route (transesterification etc)) and prepare.

no need to seive with brand new oil (but do have a look and make sure its not been seperated or anything weird in there.
KTC botbox veg oil is consistant..

depending on the weather will depend on how much derv you need to mix through with it. worth having a read up

i havnt been using veg for some time as its been almost £1 per litre.

my fuel light was not on, and i poured in 15 litres, plus £5 derv on top. and i was driving about last night.

im pretty sure my 3.0 litre benefits from the veg oil, it feels like it has more kick, has anyone else found this or is it just me?
my 2.4 on the other hand definately had the power reduced when cold, once warm there is not much difference.

take it from a man that knows, pooh will just not work directly into the fuel tank.

Tesco have 10L of KTC for £11.90 up here, they say it is not available for less anywhere. But if it is, they'll match it. Can you tell me the postcode of the Tesco branch that has it for £6 please?
