After all the reading i've been doing these surf's I didn't realise untill I looked at a couple of 3rd gens that even though they have the lift up tail gate you can still lower the back window, just thought there wouldn't be a need for it if the whole thing lifts up.

Little things and all that.

I find it very handy for putting things in the boot when someone has parked too close or you are too close to a wall to open the boot.......

.....or just for showing off

...and it is nice and cool (if you can ignore the smell of diesel) to open the back and get a nice through breeze.
