rustproofing chrome

There was a thread a while back regarding tips on how to keep chrome wheel nuts from getting rusty.
My wheels have about 30 odd small chrome studs on them and im gonna change them this weekend, so could do with the info again.

Sparks, Jeepster on SMC has a 3.0 surf breaking, with good chrome.

Wax or grease, as Yoshie mentioned. Anything else won't last five minutes.

That should work if you use the proper wax stuff instead of that liquid tat. You could also use either some beeswax furniture polish or lanolin spray on it.
