  • Just back from holiday..

My family and me have just gotten back from a long weekend spent in a tent in Llandovery in South Wales.
All had a great time whilst there exploring castles, caves, and the goldmine.
OK what I need to find out is that on Tuesday we all went from Landovery to Llanboidy and on the way missed our turning around St Clears.
No probs I thought sat-nav will re-direct and it did up to a crossroads that appeared to have a stream running through it.
Shouldn't be a problem to get across, but once in it quickly went to 30 " deep, had REAL current and was stating to come over my bonnet as I now rapidly went through. I made it but never being so bold again.
After all this, can anyone who is familiar with this area please tell me where it could have been?

I know the above sounds a bit stupid, (not knowing where I was) but after getting through the water I was more concerned with my shaken up family and so only stopped at the next safe place which was about half a mile on.

you know you want one really, you've got the bug.
if you got it up to the bonnet edge then it was deep, unless you drive like me when met by a water crossing

Right then, map studied and most likely place looks like Llanwinio junction with Cwmbach. Do you know any fords or floods around there, Mudskipper?
