replacing front speakers

whats a pod, does that affect me ????

nope,the standard speakers have a white plastic pod tyhey sit in,like a sealed box,4 inch speakers will fit in there fine

So your 6x9s are in a pod of some sort (surely?) up behind the dashboard, firing into the back of the lower part of the dash?

The e xisting speakers in mine were in a sort of sleeve.I did as Bdt did and spent many hours with a dremmel cutting the excess away so 6x9's would fit,but its like a train crash under there now andy.(and i have 4" inch wood screws holding the lower and upper dash together.looks sort of hill billy

Or you could do this and put a big amp in with it, couple o holes in the side for air and carpet it over, who needs a bass box when 4 6x9's and an amp do the trick. What a cracking stereo i had, am gonna make another one for my new surf

sorry i couldn't quite make it out was that a bass bin? !
i think the word i'm looking for is.......discrete no that's not the right word subtle no that's not it either

Trust me, no need for subs or front speakers, this box covered it all, i tried putting 2 subs in too but it made very little difference to the amount o bass i was getting so these covered music all round, heard me before u saw me was an understatement
