panel lights

Hi all new problem just fired up me surf and noticed that all the panel lights stayed on so i checked the fan belts (which are new) and noticed they where slack so i tightend them up but lights still on so i gave it a little rev and out they went all good or so i thought but when i turned the ignition back on i had no panel lights at all ive checked all the fuses and none are blown ive also checked the posts and found no answers so any ideas

All lights on is a sign of the alternator popping it's clogs.

Think you could be right just jumped it and let it get hot turned it off then it wouldnt turn over think the alternator is shagged time for a new one i think cheers m8 george

I've just taken an alternator from the breaker.£60 delivered.It's all working ok.The plug is left in the back with several inches of wire if needed
