It's the N reg 3rd gen , what i meant by nipping to a local toyota dealer or an off the shelf item is that i am on the night shift this week and need my car back before wednesday evening or i cant get into work , i will also need to allow my mate time to replace them and sort the MOT

        Thanks

            http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/
go to this site and put in the details required and you should get the part number required and then go to toyota and they should be able to get it for you.I can't think of anything else to help you out apart from what Matt said order the parts and then get them fitted then put in for the re-test which you should have 10 working days from the first test

Yea.Mine failed just under 2 weeks ago on rear shocks,n/side outer track rod and a couple of other parts.I had the re-test today and i was driving the truck about in the meantime. As long as your truck actually has a valid mot still then you are allowed to drive it.

My MOT actually ran out in April. I guess i'll have to give work a miss or get the old push bike out , bit scary though as the road is quite a busy one.
Thanks again for all your advise guys , top notch and always helpful
