  • quick question

    my mate has just got a nice 2.4 on a j plate ( real nice ) but his speedo is not working , i will have a look next week but any pointers would help .

    When mine wasn't working the first time, there was an obviously burned out track on the speedo PCB, repaired that and all was well.

    Does the odometer work?
    Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

      If the O/D light on the dash is flashing, it'll be the speed sensor on the transfer case housing.
      If no flashing O/D light, it's something to do with the PCB as yer man above said.

      p.s. O/D button needs to be pressed in (on) when checking for transmission related fault codes.

        got another mate round in the morning to take off his steps and fit a sterio.

          hi john- did you solve this one. i took dash off to reset timing light-and when i had everythign back together discovered that the speedo now is not working. odometer is clocking up the miles but the sdeedo needle seems dead. have taken off connection at back and claeaned contacts but no joy-anyone got any ideas what to try next please?
