3.0 auto. 31x10.50x15. I know my speedo reads about 5mph slower than I'm going, so speedo at 65 (ie. going 70ish) 2000, speedo at 75 (going 80ish) 2500.

Not sure I get the tyre size makes no difference bit??? Does that also include tyre type? I definately noticed that when we put 31" M/T's on the 2.4 it had to rev harder to maintain the same speed (it had 265 road tyres on before). Cant count its revs for you tho as the 35" boggers are on it so I cant turn it to get it off the drive!!!

Since I put on the 31s my speedo is more accurate, it used to be about 10% out, it's now 5% out.

Does Overdrive-O/D just mean the turbo?

          Cheers,

The overdrive button (if fitted) is on the right side of the main shift on the auto,s. It brings in an extra higher gear for cruising.

                  tyre size?

surely the tyre size is irrelevent.
the surf only calculates speed by revs in relevent gears.
if you change the tyre size, your actual speed changes
but unless you recalibrate your speedo your indicated speed dont.
jack all wheels up off ground and try it.
with or without wheels and tyres.
                  i think!

This thread is misleading, revs and speedo readings won't change with different size tyres. Actual road speed will change though, but this isn't shown up on the speedo.

If your getting more Revs per MPH as read on the speedo, your clutch is slipping.

so it looks like theres only me and craiglux that have 3500 at 70 mph i feel left out so any ideas why that is any1, could it be that it is suppose to be like that.

cant remember it being any diffrent but then again not had it that long.

oh well sure something will show its ugly head sooner or later.

                        My Revs

At 2500 revs I'm doing 83mph, at 3000 I'm up to 102! (not that I have driven that fast you understand). Is my speedo wildly out or something?
