  • Oziexplorer Map Of UK

    Gday Guys,
Im heading over to the UK at the end of the year and am looking at hiring a car.

Does any body know if there are any digital maps available of UK roads for Oziexplorer?

Or what is the average price for a GPS / Navigator in the UK preloaded with road maps?

    Cheers Matt

    No idea what Oziexplorer is!

You'll pick up a Satelite Navigation set-up here for way less than £100, I've seen them as low as £49.

Mail order, but you could have it sent to someone and pick it up when you get here?

      Hey matt,

As Andy said - just pick up a cheapo unit and flog it when you leave.

Curious - you're coming over here during our winter? From Western Oz in your summer. That'll be an interesting contrast lol

What's your itinerary? I'm sure we could organise a few tinnies for you at one of our local public house doo dah's.........

          Gday fellas,

Yeah am heading over from Dec 14th to the end of Jan

Would love to catch up for a few beers.

Totally agree that VB stuff is $hit along with Fosters, no one drinks that over here. Cant even remember the last time i saw Fosters for sale

Any way me and the misses are going to London then france for the first 2 weeks.

Christmas in Lincolnshire with long lost relatives who Ive never met (that will be interesting).

          Edinborough for new years.

Newcastle to see the Tyne Bridge, Great Grandfather & Grandfather built it.

          Down along the West Coast

Back to london and down south to Portsmouth / Gosport then across to Cornwall, Devon etc

The cold maybe a problem from the hot 40 degree tropic's to minus 40

Oziexplorer looks very similar to Memory-Map.

I could send you a "trial" copy of one it maps to see if they are compatible.

erm I'm assuming that it's a pc based program and your bringing a laptop and gps unit....

Where abouts in Lincolnshire are you going? and how long are you going to be there as we could possibly organise an off road do in Norfolk while you are up here.

                    Gday Jotto

                    Sounds good.

Going to Hull, Scunthorpe, Grimsby. (Distant relatives were fisherman and steelworkers)

Dont know how long I will be there but am catching up with friends and relatives.

I keep everyone posted when I know more accurate dates

                    Cheers Matt
