Have to order up gasket sets and head bolts tomorrow (yes the head is mullered) but have seen somewhere that a 2LTE engine is 1991 onwards but mine is a 1990 and the plate on the bulkhead says it is 2LTE but on the air intake pipes it says 2LT. I understand there is a difference in the heads, what should a 1990 be?? please help!!!!!!

The gaskets and bolts are the same for both engines. 2LT has "Turbo D" on the metal air intake pipework, 2LT-E has "Turbo EFI" in same place -

Mine says EFi turbo diesel so i presume it is a 2LTE, never really played with diesels before as i have generally stuck to petrol previously so just want to ask why is it called EFI when it still has a belt driven diesel pump????????

so just want to ask why is it called EFI when it still has a belt driven diesel pump????????
EFI means that it is electronically controlled but you still need a mechanical pump to provide the pressureComment
