Based on US 4runners, so I wouldn't go by those paint codes.

They still apply to our trucks.
Both mine are listed, 202 (black) and 25t (Prussian red over dark grey.)
which I have had mixed at Halfords and Autopaints.

The codes are the same worldwide, but the description of the colour may vary.

hey ash ssrg my colors dont seem to match the info on that link at all??

Look at the colour of the Imperial jade/thundercloud 'cladding' in the 3rd gen section & compare it to my pic. My car's cladding is definitely a lighter silver.
I still cant get hold of the paint code for my bumper & side trim!!
                Can anybody help me?

204 is just called black. Mine is 202 onyx black.
What type of paint suppliers did you go to?
                  Is yours metallic?
Are you sure it's code 204?

I first saw this site 3 years ago. Good to see it again.
Don’t forget that the 3:0 3VZ VZN130 is the far superior petrol V6 version... they didn’t use diesels in the 2nd Gen American trucks.
Mine WAS a 150 bhp V6 and ran on PETROL

Did a bit of searching on the net and found mine to be 8E3 (Dark blue).

Now need to know where I can get some from, don't need much, I've only got the door bottoms to repair.

I notice the last post in this thread was 4 years ago, has anyone been able to update anything since ?

                      Thanks

Quote that code to your nearest vehicle paint supplier, or Halfords (superstore) and they will mix a rattle can for around £12. You'll need a can of clear lacquer as well.
Milners used to sell cans of touch-up paint, not sure if they still do.

I'd be a bit careful about what that reference chart says about 25T. they quote it as a combination of 3J8 / 138...... 25T is actually 3J8 / 179.

                            Thanks BW,

Went to Halfords (nearest place) got the can made up.
Went home, rubbed, treated, filled, rubbed somemore, filled a bit more, rubbed again (you get the idea !!! ) primed and sprayed.

I now have two very nice, rust free door bottoms.

Just need to go back in the morning and buy some lacquer, D'oh !

                            Thanks again.

Mine's paint code 204 and is indeed metallic no one seems to make it in cans so custom mixing is the only way. At least its not that Burgundy colour like the last one I had and about a million others out there.
Old enough to know better but then again.....
