i noticed this weekend that the revs at 90mph on the surf (3000rpm) are only a couple of hundred higher than my soarer 3000rpm = 92mph ( 2800 rpm = 90mph) can anyone explain this is it due to diff gearing or is it a point where the revs and speed just happen to match?

its a combination of gearing and wheel tyre size and of course you were not on public roads doing that speedOriginally posted by soramad View Posti noticed this weekend that the revs at 90mph on the surf (3000rpm) are only a couple of hundred higher than my soarer 3000rpm = 92mph ( 2800 rpm = 90mph) can anyone explain this is it due to diff gearing or is it a point where the revs and speed just happen to match?

I beg to differ ......
Indicated 98mph (Actual 93) with more to go but I ran out of usable road
