  • trailer prop sands/ caravan steadies.

    hi all,the girlfriend just bought a ex bt single axle box trailer in matt grey which is now gleaming white after 3 coats at weekend, she is going to use it for car booting only problem when its unhitched its goin to tip looked on e-bay at prop stands/ steadies but not sure which is best, the sides being thin fibreglass not sure where to fix prop stands, also anyone know any caravan breakers in cornwall,any info appreciated.

    Rob have you tried that place out behind Smokey Joes cafe at Blackwater they sell 2nd hand C/vans and spares or theres the place at Scorrier that sell caravans its near the crossroads motel

      erm... doesn't it fit on the A frame?... there'll be 2 bolt holes

      jockey wheel's better for moving the trailer while unhitched

        oh... do you mean the wind down legs like a caravan, so you can walk inside it?...

        d'oh!

        i'd just get a cheap set of axle stands and stick them under the back, or a scissor jack?

          ok mate, i know where you mean will give them a ring 2moro,already had a price from tyrone snell favours with e-bay, not forgot about alloys just a bit skint at mo, got rod stewart at home park on thurs then sisters wedding on sat will have to get all my michael jackson videos + lps from the loft.?

            I've heard Snell is a bit on the dear side for parts.Like slug says get a cheap set of axel stands as they will do just fine

              um.. i got about half a ton of surf wear going in the trailer and live on busy road need to get in drive unhitch and get away fast the vicar said to the..anyway i think the corner steadies will be the answer .cheers.

                cheers, i think the axle stand is the cheaper way to go.
