Ironically, I've never even used either it or any messenging type services. The crap I retain in my memory is unbelievable. Can never remember the important stuff though.

Use it occasionally as it gets past the filtering at work.

Also usefull when using mobile internet as it's plain display user very little in data transfer, no fluffy backgrounds etc

And if you get the portable version you can run it on keydrive and use same settings on any pc you plug drive into without installing any files

I work online and need to have messenger for work but also like talking to people on my own messenger as well. I've used pidgin and msn together for the last 18 months with no problems. I have msn and aim messenger running at the same time on pidgin and msn messenger (my own personal email addy) all at the same time.
