Just had a major service and T-Belt change in Newport - £251 all in.

Was this a fair deal?

We did shop around first and one "Arfur Dayley" even suggested £400 just for the T-Belt and labour.

AutoCentre, Queens' Hill, Newport.
Apparently they do a lot of the import jobs from around the area.

hey gary, guys....

we've always taken our cars to chris watkins in rogiet. he's never let us down and used to own a land cruiser so knows the 3.0 engine backwards. as you know, i've not had mine long enough to need anything doing yet, but when i do, i'll probably head in his direction. any other local advice would good to know.

A lot cheaper than my Wife's Merc A Class (£280 for a 12K service). Also a lot cheaper than my ex Girlfriends Fourtrack - £450 for a full service plus no cambelt change.
