thanks ffor the help but i think iv,e got it sorted,the fan belts are nackered so they were slipping,going to get 2 new ones today.cheers

While your at it i'd give it a dam good serviceing, drain and flush (throughly) and fill and burp with new coolant, fit new stat and rad cap, fit new belts (all of em) do the oil and filter, air filter etc, if you do a search you'll find plenty of info on all the above, well worth doing if your unsure of the motors history,
