  • LSD? or not LSD?

Im away on my hols at the weekend. and have one last 'to do' to cross off the list. But its causing a headache..
    Rear diff oil.
I have a small semi-clean spot on the diff, which could have been an lsd sticker, or not.
Tony mentioned in an old post that 93? on limited models (mines a 94 ssrx ltd) most likely have lsd.
On the other hand, another old post said.. lsd - both wheels rotate same way. open diff - wheels rotate opposite way. is this correct? (if so, it seems i have an open diff).

Any clue? (or pref. i dont need a clue, i actually know)

I don't know, but if it was me....I would put the additive in anyway,
It won't hurt an open diff. whereas not putting it in could damage an LSD.

You may have an LSD but it might be shagged.
Toyota LSDs aren't very strong even when new and chances are that if you have one, it probably hasn't been looked after from new the same as the cooling systems in most of these trucks before they're imported.

Fill it with LSD oil anyway, it won't hurt.

my 3.0 1993 ssrx-limited doesnt have an LSD.
my 1992 2.4td SSR-G does have an LSD

when you press the brake and accelerator at the same time, do both back wheels spin or just one.
