I'm confused (easily done though)

The log book for my surf states that it's a 3000 cc Heavy oil but the plate in the engine bay says its a lzn130 2446cc and the numbers all match up ???

Any suggestions??

No such thing as an LZN130. Its either a KZN130 (3.0) or an LN130 (2.4. Check the plate again.

Could be the log book is wrong mate. KZN130 is 3.0 litre. LN130 is the 2.4. I'd double check if I were you.

Chassis plate says LN130 and log book says 3.0L ???

Could this be an import mistake as there is no documentation for an engine change?

if the turbo is at the top of the engine then its a 2.4.If the turbo is halfway down the engine its a 3.0.
Normally the 3.0's have it as a badge on the tailgate

Did you buy recently from a dealer? If it does turn out to be a 2.4, get back to him ASAP and get your money back.

No..I paid £1200 for it privately (ebay) which I thought was a bargain for the condition. Fortunately I gave the lad a job who I won it off as he was selling it because he was made redundant so I can torture him tomorrow!

Unfortunately, I think you'll find from the folks on here that the going price for a 2.4 is around £700 - £1000 tops. It might be worth getting in touch with DVLA too, incase its got any dodgy history you need to know about.

Then, and only then, beat the lad who sold it to you to a messy pulp before firing him
