I've heard a few stories of the Jag V8 being used in conversions though!!

Not technically a shed. I just refer to it as that. It's a concrete panel garage type thing, but with just a single standard type door, for use as the workshop. The other shed is the old workshop, used for storage and my wee gennie collection now. Same construction. This one is a bit bigger than that one, which is why that one is being cleared out for storing the Gipsy in.


Dug those knobs out. Pics below:




The smallest one on the left, there are two of those. Four of the one in the middle and six of the one on the right. They vary in width, (left to right, bottom pic), from approx: 35mm to 42mm at their widest points respectively. The top pic is reverse order, obviously. Apologies for my skanky photography skills, btw.

I can't tell from the picture - is there enough meat on the small brass ones to chop of the protruding threaded part and then drill and tap the "root" for 1/4 UNC ?

If so - could I have a couple of them?

The brass section is approx: 10mm wide. Not sure how far into the handle it will be embedded.

sounds just the ticket. not too bothered about how deep the brass is - as long as i can get a couple of threads started or even epoxy- not using too much torque on them - only to clamp a camera.
