Driving in 4wheel drive all the time?

3rd Gen only.

Whats the thoughts on driving in 4 wheel drive all the time?

Fuel consumption will be up granted but will get rid of the rear slide situations, will even out wear on the axles/shafts etc and should even out tyre wear front to back.

Talking about 4WD NOT 4HI or 4LO

Anyone?

you'll get more wear on the front tyres & drive... but i wouldn't imagine that's gonna show up rapidly!...

it's good to use 4wd now and then, just so it all stays free and selects nice and easy.
guess it's all down to personal choice really.

Thought I'd seen before it's not good to have 4WD engaged all the time, particularly on hard surfaces as the turning is affected by the wheels turning at the same speed all round instead of allowing inside wheel to turn slower... see I do listen......

that doesn't apply to the 3rd gen as it has a centre diff so the front and rear can be independant of each other... if you only have the 4wd button pressed... if you shift into 4wdH then this will lock the diff so that's only suitable for loose surfaces.
