Which planet are you on? The German Govt. has been in negotiations with that Canadian company for nigh on a week regarding Opel, (and indirectly Vauxhall).

Actually, I think the interest in GM/Opel is the new "hybrid" car which was destined for European production @ Ellesmere Port, would be the first full on production hybrid if it went ahead.
