can the odometer clock in miles?

With the Hilux, can the odometer have something done to it, to clock in miles instead of km - for the 2nd gen and for the 3rd gen?

Or is it just the face of the clock that you can change - does the odometer only show kilometers covered by the vehicle (can this be changed)?

p.s. my hiace had a chip fitted so it clocks in miles and the speedo shows mph without having to change the face....

Hia mate you can get a chip for toyota. i had one on my first 2 surfs if you do a search on ebay you will find one im sure
