Wheel covers and tyres

The boss has decided that she wants a stainless steel wheel cover to hide "that ugly tyre" so I had a hunt on eBlag ......

I found somebody flogging them at a price she was prepared to pay BUT there's a rider to the effect that they might not fit an AT tyre and you should contact them to check before bidding. I emailed the details (Standard 265/70/16 GG AT2) only to get the response that the cover won't fit (They advertise a massive range of sizes).

And so the questions are:

1. Are they playing silly buggers or are AT tyres bigger than a standard road tyre of the same size ?

2. If they are bigger what size cover should I go for ?

a 265/70/16 is the exact same size whatever tread pattern!! They differ from make to make but only a small amount!
