Hey everyone.
Just replaced that little console that controls the heat and fan/AC... Whatever you call it, as I couldn't turn the fan on in my 2nd gen SSR-G.
The fan switch had gone (it was easy to see this was the problem, as it wouldn't travel all the way from left to the right).
Anyway, I thought I'd give a little tip in replacing it.
After removing the bottom, center and top of the dash' and stereo, for access, I found the only problem was those damn two cables attached to control from cold to heat. What a bugger to remove!
After trying a few ways and a lot of swearing at them, what I done instead was to take apart the new console (I got this from a local scrappie), via six small screws. These only detached the rear of the console, the part that holds the cables...
It was just a simple job to take apart the original one and swap..
