Did think of 'no more nails', but thought that was a bit inelegant. 
Just wired the permanent 12v through, so the radios are live now. Still need to extend boost gauge hose, and fit ATF temp sender.
I've also taken the hard / soft shock switch out and fitted it in one of the coin holder slots in the centre console to wire the TC lockup into. Will fit a LED to the dash to warn me when lock is selected.
Then I'm about done!
