Rear inside side pannel...

  • Rear inside side pannel...

    Hi Guys...

    I'm having some issues...
    What is behind this vent or what ever it is seen circled in red... and how can i remove this whole side panel to install a speaker in the in the said circled bit.

    thats where the speaker is.Be careful tho when pulling the panel off as the clips can break easy

      Be aware there's an amplifier in there too. You'll find 3 wires going into the box where the speaker is.

      I have my side panels off at the mo, looking for somewhere to fit my inverter. There's sod all space behind there, so I'm gonna end up either dumping the rear heater and fitting it in the centre console, or dump the speaker box and fit it there.

        would you please upload some photos so that i can see where about the clips are on the panel and what the clips look like so that i know what i'm up against...

          As mentioned - there is a speaker pod behind the grill. some members, including myself have ripped the pod out and replaced with 6x9 oval speakers for better sound.
          Everyone thinks I'm paranoid!!

            Can you not fit it in one of the cubby holes? unless you filled em up already, with some alteration i fitted me compressor in the o/s one,

              Thats what i'm planning on doing... and i've found some pics that shows me exactly what i was after...

              ps... did you mount your 6x9 with the widest part horizontal or vertical... just thinking about the space...

                Just whilst on this subject, is anyone in need of a passenger side rear panel? Just asking before I bin it.

                  There are LOADS of clips, just start at the top and lever gently as close as you can to the clips. There isn't really an easier way.
