been hearing like a grinding/rubbing noise while driving back from brixham yesterday n again coming back from truro hospital, ive checked n found cvboot got holes in but it doesnt look like a tear looks like they've been cut. no grease on cvboot anywhere n put finger in split n dont feel any grease how come no grease on cv boot???????? are there any bearing on both inner n outter boots as might have to put new ones on if there is????

They've been split for a long time if there's no grease in there at all. If they're grinding as well, sounds like your CV joints are shot.Cutting steps in the roof of the world -
thats what i thought m8 but no grease on boot n normally if it goes youll get grease on the boot itself but there isnt

Unless like I said its been split for AGES and the grease has washed away? Otherwise, last time it was done, perhaps no grease was put in?
