Welcome mate, don't be put off by some of the strange greetings, they're a weird lot on here!

Just look for the usual stuff, water in the oil, check the gear change is smooth, check that 4 wheel drive engages but don't drive on tarmac in 4WD. The Surfs are fairly bomb proof if they've been looked after, 2.4's may be prone to head trouble, although some 3.0's suffer as well.

As mentioned earlier use the search function for more detailed info on what to look out for.

anyhow went to look at yesterday and put down a deposit.

shes a 94 3.0 auto in silver.was impressed how clean she is.
the chassis is completely sound which is great as im fed up wi lying under 4x4s getting ears filled with sparks from the mig.

might think about raising the body.
is this straight forward?

must subscribe to the forum so i can put up pics when i get her.

there are a class set of alloys on her bit too bling for me so if a set of steel wheels from a frontera will fit i think i,ll swap em over.

looking forward to gettin her and joinin the madness!

2" is easy see surfenstein as he supplies them

Good it only cost £15 a year and worth it

How big you going ........31's are the norm , 33's need a suspension lift as well
