What to do, what to do? I have a 95 Surf which I have had about 2 years now, Over all it's been very good to me. even when I had problems it kept on going, good old girl.

Well sometime in the past, it had the 2.4 or 2.5 land cruiser engine put in it, I don’t know how many miles it’s done, clock says 155000 but I bet that’s not right! she has no rust to speak of, still looks like a tank. no bangs, good rubber, interior is still very good. But! The engine is getting very tired now, done the head gasket, new radiator and holds the temperature well. Exhaust has seen better days, but as we live abroad they don’t care out here, so it gets patched up now and again. Now the head is leaking oil, so the head has to come off again. No water in sump, just leaks oil out the head! and she does produce a bit of that black smoke out the rear end, and getting bit sluggish, Crap! So what to do, I like the land cruiser the big brother, but the priceses are bit steep for anything half decent. I also have a 4.3 chevy American day van ( day star) out here, with 100ltr LPG conversion 1995 great motor goes very well, but as it’s 0ver 128 klw power, they want ###### 2 and a half grand import duty, so that is now a museum thing. For me to get another used engine for the surf, out here in Bulgaria it’s a ###### fortune. And it’s a grand to go back to the UK, round trip. So I am looking for options with the American day van, surf, as a swap or trade in. What’s the opinions on the land cruiser, or what about a very good 3ltr (D) surf, is anyone out there interested in doing a deal with something nice surf or land cruiser wise? Any ideas or suggestions would help to!
