I do regret getting rid of my 2.0ltr petrol 405 estate. It had to go in the end though as it was falling apart, had no handbrake, smelt of burnt oil if it go too hot, had a dent or hole in every body panel. But it was great fun to drive.
my soarer now (without a shadow of a doubt the best car i have ever owned) and 30 years before that the reliant scimitar gte. most of the rest were mass produced junk.
My old (new) Mini was the only car I ever looked at out of the window before I went to bed. It had a phenomenal amount of grip and, because I got it new, was exactly how I wanted it.
Mine has to be my audi 80 "the face lifted model" 2.0 16 valve, it was 5 years old when i bought it but it looked & drove like it had just rolled out of the factory. Had to sell it cos i could'nt fit all my tools in it.
Still gutted to this day & i sold it 6 years ago.
did you build it yourself..?? Im planning on a new build using the cossie as a donor vehicle, eventually anyways.
My Fave was probably my old S2 turbo, was a bare shell resto' took me 18mnths in all with a 2.1ZVH turbo unit (now in my cabby). Was absolutely spot on..
I love the surf though..if i had to sell up, the surf would be the last to go i rekon, even before the cossie..
I miss the 2.9 sierra 4x4's I had for commuting (before the petrol went sky high) Now drive a 1.2 corsa to work
Also miss my mkIII capri...
However the car I'd like back is the Opel Kadett 1.2S coupe. I had one in black with a red interior. Small car, rear wheel drive, loads of fun. Even back then I wanted to put a 150HP 2.0 cavalier engine in it and I reckon now, 15 years later I could afford to do it.....
