JVC Lcd TV HDMI connection

Anybody know how to get the HDMI connections to work on a JVC lcd tv ? Even resorted to reading the instruction manual without success
The tv has 2 hdmi sockets and I'd like to connect a PS3 and Virgin V+ via hdmi cable .
We had the PS3 connected to a Toshiba TV and the HD worked fine but not in the jvc ? Also tried to get the V+ box to work on HD without sucess
Been searching on google and found lots of people with the same problems but no solution

Whats the model number/name of the TV?

It's a JVC LT-32DY8ZJ , but the problem seems to exist on several models on the stuff I googled .
I've followed the instructions off my V+ box but can't get the TV to co-operate .
