  • Rear view question + vehicle law general.

Does anyone know what the law says regarding loading the back in a way that obstructs the rear view?

Also, is there any online resource or download that has all the UK laws regarding vehicles in it - the Highway Code seems very basic when it come to questions like this.

obscuring the view to your rear window is ok. you can't obscure the view to your windscreen or front side windows. that would be illegal.
i swear, it was like that when i got here...

Rear window obstruction is no problem as long as you have wing or door mirrors fitted.

Library, I believe. They make it nigh on impossible to get hold of the regs. Btw, there is no requirement to have a rear view mirror. Panel van and lorry drivers would be screwed if there was.

Towing a horsebox or caravan doesn't obscure the view to the rear window it obscures it after the you can see out the rear window ....
