Has anyone noticed that the site hit counter has
changed? I'm sure it was more than that.
Or has it gone round the clock?

It counts every page load. That thing has probably gone 'round the clock' more times than you can shake a stick at.

Didn't know a software counter would be limited in that way. Why would it have to go round the clock? They could just add an extra digit.

Just depends how it was written. It could easily expand the digit count when needed, but whomever wrote it appears not to have thought that way. Either that, or its point of reference has been removed, hence the restart.
