          1 yes.
2 flow required, not pressure.(they flood dead easy)
3 under load @ high revs only.
(usally coming out the of corners).

Thanks mate, any more? please, please please ? (BEGGING NOW)

Is this something that has just happened or has it always been like it?
I take it the the carbs have been set up on the rollers right up to 8.5k?
Does it actually develop any usable power over 7k? I would be suprised if it did with the engine spec you have listed.
Have you tried a cooler grade spark plug?
What ignition are you using? At that sort of rpm the springs might be bouncing in the dizzy. Likewise with the valve springs.
Is this the 1.4 XU engine? originally a twin Weber?

Failing all else, blame it on being French

don't need oil it's like a diaphram. Thanks

                          Hi mate,
                          sorry for late reply,

                          Pulls all the way up.
Ignition is electronic hall effect type, no rev limiter.
Plugs are two down in temp from standard.
High lift Piper cam and high perfomance valves springs.
No it's a 1100cc TU engine, single carb type.
We do know of a 1.4 TU engine that pulled up to 10200 rpm!!!!

I'll just have keep trying, cheers

                            Hi mate,
                            Another late reply, sorry,

checked the diaphrams for holes none found, if they get
holed, it will not tick over properly, floats are OK the carbs
will overflow and dump fuel all over if damaged. Cheers
