    Hi Guys,

Could you tell me what these Surfs handle like?
Are they anything like the old Hilux pickups as I seem to remember my friends old one being like a pig with tree legs going round roundabouts in the wet.

I really hope they are ok as I really like the look of the Surf

    Thanks for any advice.

    Pete

They are quite good for a large truck , the adjustable suspension helps (hard /soft ) and a good set of uk tyres (the jap ones slide in the wet).
the only time mine got tail happy was 2wd in the snow and a heavy right foot

they're no sports car, but road manners are helped by being coil sprung as opposed to the hilux leaf springs, and IFS on the front is better on the road than solid axle as some of the pickups had.

With a good set of tyres on and shocks that are in good condition they're better than a lot of 4x4s.

My other half had her heart set on a P@jer* - until she had a test drive in one .......... When she tried a Surf her reaction was "This is much better - it's like driving a car rather than a lorry"

Life is too important to take seriously !
