May need the engine oil dip-stick for my 3rd gen, it was in when i took it for the MOT this aft. Just looked now & its gone + oil all over the engine, not happy.

Gunna call to the garage in the morning to see if its there, if not how much for one.

    No dip-stick jokes please.

Resisting the option to extract the urine, I think you will find that the dipstick from a 3 Litre 2nd Gen should also fit.

Why would a garage remove the dipstick for an MOT???
It seems they are a set of dipsticks.

That is exactly what i thought till i called them this morning, as part of an MOT they give you a free oil, water & fluid check.

Anyways, they have the dipstick & as a sorry they will do an oil & filter change & an engine steam clean for free, "which is nice".

          All's well in the end.

they'll probably forget to put the sump plug back in...muppets!!
I'd just a gallon of oil from them and change it myself!!!

The emissions machine has a probe that goes in the dip stick slot to check oil temperature, or at least the garage I use does this.

Another good reason to stay with the vehicle and watch their every move.
                    Gone from 4x4 to 1x2

Ahh, you learn something new every day.

They did do the fluid checks though cos my washer bottle is full & smells all nice.

I would'nt mind but there is a viewing area but i decided to watch TV instead, won't do next time though.
