Firstly the etiquette... which it looks like I failed at badly first time around but understandably I was in a bit of a panic at the time...

HI EVERYONE and thank you all SO much for the many helpful replies to my post, I am truly grateful - and my little problem now seems to have resolved itself (blushing) however I am pleased to have caused considerable amusement and you will glad to know that my marriage is still intact!

Infact there is something else that is button related - there's a little round button not far from the ignition that isn't in the manual and doesn't appear to do anything, what's that for then?

Could your litle round button be for a fog lamp - remember you will need your lights on to check

Hello newbie.

It's most likely the rear foglight button. They're not fitted as standard so are added when the truck is imported.

Welcome to the forum. I'm guessing the button you are referring to is the rear fog light button. Will only work with the headlights on.
