  • Air pump

Have a look at this thread http://www.4x4community.co.za/forum/...ad.php?t=32023 on the South African 4 x 4 forum where HCs talks about a double head compressor pump. Does any one know what he means as I am not technically savvy on this? It does sound like a better idea than carrying a small compressor with you that takes forever to pump up a 4 x 4 tyre.

These guys do good comps, from the USA tho so be prepaired for the useual rip off import duty, i'm sure i've seen a twin cylinder unit but buggered if i can find it now, if your going for one make sure you check the "duty cycle" rateing, go for one with 99% duty not the cheaper (useually) 10-15min ones like the ones halfrauds sell, if you can find a commercial breakers you could get the air suspension pump and tank a lot cheaper,, i got one from stien which was on an ambulance, very handy system to have on the truck, apart from the air ram step i fitted for the old woman i ran snap connectors so i can just plug in a coiled airline and do me own tyres etc, (and maybe a bl00dy great set of air horns) if ya need any help i'll find the link to when i fitted mine

Thanks if you can find the link it woudl be appreciated. The other thing of course it is a real mother to find a garage where you can take a caravan to pump up the caravan tyres.

Heres the link, (eventually!! pc's slow today, or is it the forum?) you'll never need to find a garage to pu,p up your truck or the caravan again, those snap fitting are always on ebay and i think i have some links to fittings etc suppliers, it's fairly stright forward fitting it, some of the pics are missing but most are there, give me a shout if i can help,

Can you perhaps give me some idea of cost as i will need to run it past the missus first. Secondly are there any issues taking it through a MOT?
