        Limited slip diff

look at the axle code on the vin plate , if it ends in a 5 (eg G245 ) it is a lsd and needs lsd diff oil

It reads R150F G282 so its not an lsd and just needs "diff oil" ...? any special type or is it cheap and cheerfull?

75w-90 gl-5 should do ........ they add something for the lsd to create a different oil

park the truck on level ground.
remove drain plug - bottom of diff casing.
                replace drain plug.
fill diff with fresh oil through filler plug - half way up front of diff casing.
when oil starts to pour out of filler plug hole - refit plug.

clean all areas/sealing faces to stop any leaks once replaced.
                Everyone thinks I'm paranoid!!
