That may eventually fill with water/crud and as it's a low point, it'll block the air flow.

Everything should run down towards the air filter box, there's usually a drain in there.

mmmm see what you mean i was going to drill a hole in the bend and fit a length of pipe (drain pipe ) and when off roading i would fit a bung in the end

If you can, I'd take the wing off and re-position it all to do away with the low point.

Errr...I was thinking of doing the "snorkel" thing......but I read somewhere else on here that you should also block up the drain in the bottom of the airbox, otherwise the water would just come in through that....

I'm still undecided on a snorkel......it may have to be homemade as I can't afford a Safari or similar.....and I don't know whether I can take a saw to the wing.

You need some kind of drain somewhere, or something to keep moisture out.

I've not looked, but the drains inside filter housings tend to be on the dirty side of the filter and are generally one way valve affairs.

As I said, not looked, so am up for correction.
