I woud do it in a heartbeat, not to set my family up for life, but if there was any way my doing it could possibly help anyone else to overcome Cancer, maybe donate any monies to Cancer research or the McMillan fund etc.
I have also stated to my family that I want any part of me that's any good to be donated to the Organ Transplant system, this is also stated on my licence and I have registered with the national scheme.
I have not been able to make much of an impact on anyones life during my time as yet, maybe when I'm dead I might be able to help others live.
That's my take on it all, a bit off topic maybe but that's how I feel and they are my wishes.
    John.

The thing with Jade is that she will do anything to get her face on T.V or the papers.I do feel sorry for her and the family she is going to leave behind.
My dad is in the last few months of his life as he has pancreatic cancer and he and mother are tatally skint and i mean skint as they got ripped off of their savings.
My dad is a proud man and will not take hand outs from anyone so he wouldn't go down this road of media coverage just to make life sweet.
I love my parents for who they are and not for what they have.
Jades family should be the same as this, love her for who she is and not what they are going to get out of her once shes dead
Like i said i wouldn't wish any terminal illness on anyone but Jade i think is wrong for making money on her death and she'll do anything for money and i'm sure her kids ain't gonna like seeing their mother in her death bed plastered over the t.v in her last days

As she is a human being who is dying I do have some sympathy for her. But I cannot respect this useless gurning idiot who seems to be being paid horrendous amounts of money 'to set her kids up for life'. If she was raising the money for cancer research that I might be more interested, but just to set up a fund to allow for the kids being as useless as she is? What sort of effect is that going to have on her kids? What chance of a normal life will they have with the legacy of all this footage, a violent step 'father' and Max Clifford lurking in the background.
My dear old Dad died last week with as much of the quiet dignity that he had through his life as he could muster, given he had Altziemers. No drama, no press, no millions of pounds for life stories. The collection in the church raised 380 quid for the Friends of Fairford Hospital and the Cotswold Care hospice. As far as I am concerned that is worth far more than the millions being thrown at Goody, and will probably achieve more too.
Sorry, I cannot spare a great deal of compasion for Jade Goody at the moment.
            it's in me shed, mate.

I'm afraid it's sign of the times today ... there's no Honour, Respect or Compassion (only Money) in life today n so there are those who wish to show us this is also true in death ....
I'm sure there would be more Compassion show if she were not going down the Publicity road ... There's more to life (or death) than Money !!!!

I wouldn't go down this road personally

There's always a Payback .... It'll always take longer than five minutes !!!!

If it were me, in my last few months of life, I'd want to spend every last second I had with my kids, making them feel happy. I would want to spend quality time alone with them, not being hounded by the media circus and following a regime laid down by filming and interviews.

Surely it's more important to shield your kids from that sort of stuff and allow them the memory of your last days on earth filled with love and dignity.

It may be hard to swallow at the moment but there are far more important things in life than money.

Or am I just being naive?

I have to agree with Scorpion on this one ,that is exactly how i feel.

What i cannot stomach is the fact that her face is blazened across most news papers with multiple page write ups and she's portrayed as a celeb. Well what exactley is she famous for - coming across as a person of rather limited intellegence on big brother , getting her kit off on big brother , oh and being a racist on what was that programme , oh yes big brother and that seems to be her celeb status. How is it that the soldiers and policeman killed in Ireland trying to make a safer place not just for two children but thousands of them and families alike get a quarter page write up in the papers on the inside cover , and Jade is filling the front page aswell as two and a half other pages inside aswell. Two people will benefit from all this ,Max Clfford and Greedy Tweedy £££££££ and poor old Jade just cannot see through them. I am not without compassion but i would think we have all gone through or know of somebody close to us who have experianced a similar , very sad occasion such as this is but kept their dignity intact

Personally, I think Jade is smarter than she makes out - and she also has the backing of the UKs biggest PR machine in Max Clifford.

So - if I were in her position, I would be trying to spend as much time with my family as I could, not pushing myself onto the media train as often as possible. I understand that her motive for doing this is to provide for her children, but they would value time with her more - and the poor things will be left with that vacuous imbecile new husband of hers - who I hope has no access to any of her money, as I suspect he doesn't care much for the kids, and if he could get his hands on a few million, he won't be seen for dust.

What annoys me more than the media nonsense, and the fact that she would rather be in front of a camera than with her children, is that all this could have been turned into the biggest awareness campaign for cervical cancer. With Max Clifford involved, Jade could have been the face of the only cervical cancer charity in the UK, been the voice of it too -been campaigning for awareness for them, fundraising for them and getting the government to change the rules on screening too - with a direct campaign, not letting it happen by proxy. I get that she is focused on providing money for her children's future, but she could have (and in my opinion) should have been more involved in promoting the charity and it's work.

I feel for her kids and for Jeff Brazier too - as he will no doubt be affected by this too - but I personally think that I would have preferred to see her face on campaign posters, websites and TV ads that Max and Co would have been able to put together in no time to support Jo's Trust (http://www.jotrust.co.uk/) or any other organisation focused on supporting women suffering from cervical cancer - it's not just her.

                                Ok guys last question.
Would you all do the same to set your family up for life?
I see nobody has answered that one yet.
One question springs to mind Mitsy - what happened to all the money she got from the Big Brother shows, the perfume, the book, the workout video, the salon?????? Surely that would have been enough for the likes of the rest of us to sort out our kid's futures......so where has it all gone, and if it's still there, what is the need to do this horrific display of selfishness?

I've lost members of my family, and like others have said there was no media frenzy, none of our friends were interviewed, no psuedo sympathy from GMTV, none of this crap. It offends me deeply that she is playing on our sympathies to try and get us to see what she is doing is right - she had plenty of money, more than I suspect any of us have, before all of this - I feel for her family, not that idiot husband though, he's had enough good luck, getting let off his cerfew for the wedding - how many other people would have begged for that and been refused???? but he's also married a multi millionaire.....who is unlikely to make it to Easter.....

This whole circus makes me sick.
