        There's one fitted as standard, it'll probably be gubbed by now though. KERRSURF fitted a new one and reckons he noticed a difference. I've not, so can't say whether-or-not it's worth it.

            The steering damper helps keep the front wheels from leaping around over pot holes and things, and smooths out the feel in the steering wheel.

            if your fitting bigger tyres, then the stock damper can be overworked and not effective, if its not worn out like Albannach said.

            an uprated damper is nice even on stock trucks, a heavy duty version is needed for 33's and dual heavy duty ones for bigger.

              I made my own and used a Pro comp es9000, it still not really enough for the 44s though. You can just see it in this photo.
