My surf has been sat dead on the drive for the last 6 months...Jump started it today and it started first turn!!! I have just swapped the half shaft from my donor truck, Piece of #### to do !!!! (don't know what all the fuss was about ....

How much slack would there normally be between the shaft and the bearing ? having taken out the half shaft and checking it the knackered one had loads of play ...thee good one had less ? should there be any play at all?
I am going to book it in for an MOT so any help appreciated
