You know, I see Scotland as my spiritual home.

I've got lots of relatives around the Clydebank area.

I have pondered the move way north for years. I love the place the people, it's earning a living that's the problem. You can do the whole Monty Hall, crofting self sufficent route http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode...ape_Episode_1/

I would be happy but my Kids wouldn't their to used to 21st cen living.
Maybe once there upI will go. Failing that once I start collecting the works pension am off. I will live well up there on my pension.

Just got a thought and went with it......
Get so fed up with the fact that evry blinkin thing needs electric to make it work.......No one goes out anymore they are all glued to deadbenders or corrie or the playstation.....an whats the big appeal of going into town on a saturday to walk round shops selling stuff that wouldn't last one wash in my house but costs the price of a small country.....rant
I want to go and live where you work to survive not to put money in the bank to buy sh1te you don't use or need to survive....
Think i would rather get up and chop logs than come here and draw walls, i'm a cad monkey well monkey office manager....
Right made me mind up gunna sell me house buy a piece of woodland and become a hermit.... that's if she will let me....ha ha
Just seems that electric rules our lives and yes even this internet would not exist but then we'd all be out doing real stuff.....
Could sign up for some aid organisation in a 4th world country as long as they knew how to make veg oil to run me surf......

    Paul1566

ps don't come to cheltenham next week its full of hookers and drunk persons watering the doorways and traffic like you never seen...giddy up horsey win that gold cup for daddy.....

Assuming Paul meant switching them all off at the same time, there wouldn't be enough time to section the grid before the interconnectors tripped?

France has a fair ammount of spare capacity, but not enough to keep us going. The surge would cause them (along with the rest of mainland Europe) a fair ammount of hassle too.
