CB Location

Where did you fit your CB?

I don't want to fit it below the Stereo as I'm planning a Double DIN at some point, it's too big for the ashtray space and I have a Sunroof, so can't make a roof console.

Any other neat places it could go? Pictures would be nice too!

fitted mine just to the passenger side of the gearbox tunnel. neat, tidy, doesn't interfere with anything. ran the aerial under the carpet to the rear of truck and into the roof.

At risk of seeming a mite slap dash I find it fits very well jammed between the passenger seat and the centre console cubby thingummy.

Benefit to this is when you are using it you can pull it up so its accessible and when not using you can push it down and out of sight.

I used to do that..........now I am not saying that my wife has large thighs......but I used to get an ear bashing every time she sat in the seat complaining that it was in the way. (The CB that is )

Roof mounted? Doesn't it get wet when it rains?

I fitted mine under the ashtray
removed the little pocket , cut a hole so the rear was behind the plastic
looks very nice
i however had to relocate my 4wd ecu, no biggie though
ill post pics if you want

Unfortunately yes, but I get great reception. I have to open the sunroof to turn it on too.

That looks tidier than I thought it would. Maybe re-look at doing something similar.

Its a bit dark at the moment, ill take a few pics tomorrow.
I temporarily placed the ecu under the stereo (single din) in the empty space under it.
It was easy as i had already cut the back out to try and fit the CB in there.
I too am thinking about a double din unit, so will relocate it a bit further up, plenty of room.
